Katy Perry and John Mayer Collaborate

John Mayer and Katy PerryJohn Mayer and Katy Perry have unveiled the artwork for their duet "Who You Love."

The couple - who are rumored to be engaged - teamed up for the third single to be taken from John's sixth studio album Paradise Valley, which was released in August. "Who You Love is here. Proud of this song, proud of this artwork, proud of this girl," the "Half Of My Heart" musician tweeted, attaching the cover art for the track.

The black-and-white shot, taken by photographer Mario Sorrentil, shows John strumming a guitar while Katy's strikes a sultry pose and rests her hand on his shoulder. "I wouldn't have brought her a song if I didn't think it was good. I think the power of the song protected me, certainly, I don't know about her, from it being a little too cute," John previously said about the track.

Katy Perry Planning Children?

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Dating, Rumors,

Katy PerryKaty Perry and John Mayer are planning to have children.

The "Roar" hitmaker is hoping to get pregnant with her 36-year-old boyfriend and the pair are thrilled about the prospect of starting a family. "Katy brought up the idea of having a baby a few weeks ago. He was really supportive and said he'd love her to be the mother of his child," a source said.

Katy, 29, is already said to be being cautious about her body during stunt when she performs live, such as when she appeared at the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards in Amsterdam earlier this month, where she was suspended nine metres in the air. "Their inner circle say it won't be long until there's happy news. She's already been taking precautions. Extra safety measures were taken during her EMA act, where she was suspended in the air. She didn't want to put her body under any strain," the source added.

Jon Hamm Doesn’t “Get” Miley Cyrus or One Direction

Jon HammJon Hamm doesn't understand the appeal of Miley Cyrus or One Direction.

The Mad Men actor, who was the subject of backlash last year when he questioned the popularity of reality TV star Kim Kardashian, admits he isn't up to speed with pop culture phenomenons such as the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker and concedes he often sounds like a grumpy old man:

"I got s**t on for saying I don't agree with the fact that the Kim Kardashians and Paris Hilton of the world are worthy of attention and people were saying, 'How dare you!' I thought, 'Wow, really? That's a terrible thing to say?' It's ridiculous. I'm getting older, I'm slowly morphing into that guy who stands on his lawn and shakes his fist and shouts, 'Get off my lawn!' All I can is that I don't get Miley Cyrus, I don't get Katy Perry, I don't get One Direction ... I don't get why that's a thing."

Katy Perry has unveiled the new video for "Unconditionally." The 29-year-old star - who is currently in a relationship with guitarist John Mayer - released the clip for the second single from her third studio album Prism today.

The brunette beauty worked with Brent Bonacorso on the video, which includes scenes showing her crouching in the snow, standing alone in the centre of a room full of people, wearing period drama-style clothing and even a scene where she holds a brown owl. Katy is also hit by a car in a dramatic scene, which is meant to show her enduring physical pain as a metaphor for unconditional love.

Katy Perry Doesn’t Blame Exes in ‘Prism’ Songs

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Pop, New Releases,

Katy PerryKaty Perry won't hit out at her former lovers in her music.

The "Roar" hitmaker's third album, Prism, deals with her emotional state after her split from ex-husband Russell Brand in 2012, but she insists she tries not to make her former flames look like the bad guy in her tracks.

"Well, I never try to make people out to be villains, too much. There's a lot of empathy in my writing, even if there is pain and sadness. I think I'm not always trying to point the finger. I think on this record, the whole Prism record, it's very self-reflective and you hear that I've kind of gone inside more and looked at where I can make myself better, did a patchwork thing, rather than like 'Screw you. You're crazy. F**k you.'"

Katy - who is now dating John Mayer - still remembers the love she shared with former partners and wouldn't want to discredit it, but prefers to reflect on her own part in the failure of her relationships. "It's really easy when relationships end to be like 'That guy was a f***ing douchebag.' But really if you laid it down, and you saw the whole span of the relationship, you saw that you were in love. You saw the intimate moments, you saw the pain, you saw all the emotions and you have to kind of say 'Well, what responsibility can I take for myself in all of this?'" the 29 year-old said.

Eminem Wins Big at MTV EMAs as Miley Cyrus Causes Controversy

Miley CyrusEminem was among the big winners at the MTV Europe Music Awards last night, while Miley Cyrus caused controversy yet again.

The 41-year-old rapper won the Best Hip Hop and Global Icon prizes at the ceremony at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam - making him the artist with the most EMAs ever - and he celebrated his victory with a surprise performance of "Bezerk" before a scintillating rendition of "Rap God."

Miley ensured she remained in the spotlight by sparking up what appeared to be a joint on-stage and then smoking it with Will Ferrell, who was at the awards as his Anchorman alter-ego Ron Burgundy, before accepting her Best Video prize for "Wrecking Ball." The blonde star told the crowd, "I couldn't fit this award in my bag but I did find this..."

One Direction also won two accolades, Best Pop and Best UK & Ireland Act, and the band's 19-year-old hunk Harry Styles was named Best Look - beating the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and Rita Ora to the gong - however none of the boy band were at the ceremony to pick up their prizes.

You see ones with, like three baby seats on them. And then coffeeshops! I saw Afrojack in one last night and we had some, y'know, coffee," he said.

Sweden Inspires Katy Perry

Katy PerryKaty Perry's Prism is strongly influenced by Sweden.

The "Unconditional" singer started work on her fourth studio album in her home town of Santa Barbara but Swedish producer, Klas Ahlund says working with her in his home country helped bring a different feel to the record.

"We did most of our stuff actually in Stockholm and I totally think that affected how it came out. When you move around the planet, the vibe of the place you're making the music in definitely makes an imprint on whatever you're writing," Ahlund said.

According to Ahlund, it was the stark difference between American and Swedish folk music that impacted on Katy's work - and he believes the "melancholy and lonely" tones of traditional Swedish melodies combined with Katy's bubbly persona were the lightening force behind the new album; inspiring songs such as "Roar."

Katy Perry Was Humiliated by Music Industry

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Industry News, Pop,

Katy PerryKaty Perry was "humiliated" in "very uncomfortable ways" when she first started in the music industry.

The "Roar" singer had a rough start in music and despite being discovered by super-producer Glen Ballard in 2001, she got a number of knockbacks before finally releasing her major label debut album One of the Boys in 2008, which she says was character building.

"You have to eat dust in the music industry. You'll get humiliated, often in very uncomfortable ways. That period of my life was like a test of my strength. My philosophy is: you get presented with these challenges so you can learn to overcome them," she said.

Katy, 29, has since had the last laugh as her has now become one of the biggest selling pop singers of the last decade with hits including "Teenage Dream" and "California Gurls." The "I Kissed a Girl" star also found her 14-month marriage to British comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2011 tough, but put as much effort into making it work as possible. "When I was married I kept taking breaks in between touring so I could dedicate time to my marriage. It was extremely draining, but my marriage was worth it to me," she added.
